Philips Historical Museum, Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Dutch firm Philips has given the world some of its most important technical and scientific innovations, celebrated in Eindhoven at the Philips Historical Museum.

The exhibitions include a gallery charting the development of the electric lamp, which defined Philips for decades, and one dedicated to the firm’s subsequent work with sound, television, and consumer products such as the Philishave.

The museum also houses a collection of lesser known professional products such as mixing desks, xray equipment and radio transmitters.
